-Kaitlyn Johnson
Kaitlyn Johnson was born and raised in Orange County, California. As a photographer, much of her work is influenced by where she grew up and holds a nostalgic feeling to her, as well as others. She is pursuing her Associates Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography, from Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada, with an expected graduation in Fall 2020. Johnson is a 2020 - 21 recipient of the Neil J. Redfield Foundation Scholarship.
ARTIST STATEMENT .
Majority of my photographic work focuses around the human figure. Whether I am working on a creative project or photographing clients, I always approach a photo session in the same manner. The human body is a beautiful thing. Being able to highlight and capture what makes each individual so beautiful is what inspires me everyday to keep creating more work.
More recently I have explored subject matters such as fruits and vegetables, but approach them with the same photographic strategies as with people. I feel I best capture the character or personality in my subject matters.
